Terms of Service
By creating an account or using Tari (web or mobile), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
Tari is a personal expense and income tracking product operated by Kitendo Labs (“we”, “us”). It lets you record transactions, organize categories, and view a calendar of your activity. Features may change as we improve the product.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide when registering.
3. Accounts
- Keep your password confidential and use a strong unique password.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Notify us promptly at support@tarifinance.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
- You may sign in with email/password or supported third-party providers (for example Google or Apple).
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Tari for unlawful purposes or to store illegal content
- Attempt to access other users’ data or disrupt the service
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the API beyond normal personal use
- Misrepresent your identity or bypass security controls
- Resell or provide the service as a multi-tenant product without our written permission
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the financial and other content you enter into Tari. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service for you. You represent that you have the right to submit the content you provide.
6. Not financial advice
Tari is a record-keeping tool. It does not provide financial, tax, investment, or legal advice. Figures shown depend on data you enter and may contain errors. You remain responsible for your financial decisions and official filings.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practical. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability.
8. Free and paid plans
Tari may be offered free of charge or under paid plans in the future. If paid features are introduced, pricing and billing terms will be disclosed before you purchase. We may change free-tier limits with notice.
9. Third-party services
Sign-in and infrastructure may rely on third parties (for example Google, Apple, hosting, email, analytics). Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party outages outside our control.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal data. By using Tari you also acknowledge that policy.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tari is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that data will never be lost; keep your own backups of important records (export is available where offered).
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kitendo Labs and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Tari. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for Tari in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kitendo Labs from claims arising out of your misuse of Tari, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Termination
You may stop using Tari at any time and request account deletion via support@tarifinance.com. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms, prolonged inactivity, or operational reasons. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Kitendo Labs’ principal place of operation, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise. Courts in that jurisdiction will have exclusive venue for disputes, subject to those mandatory rights.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using Tari and request account closure.
